Broncos operating backs coach Curtis Modkins, is not going to be a part of group for recreation in opposition to Patriots
DENVER (KDVR) – The Denver Broncos announced Saturday morning that running backs coach Curtis Modkins had tested positive for COVID-19.
"He will not accompany the team to the New England game against the Patriots on Sunday," the team said in a statement.
According to the Broncos, Modkins is self-isolating at home and shows no symptoms.
"We evaluated close contacts, performed necessary point-of-care tests (no positive COVID-19 results) and implemented additional health and safety measures in the UCHealth Training Center in accordance with NFL-NFLPA protocols," the team said. "The Broncos are still in regular communication with the league office, the Chief Medical Officer of the NFL, Dr. All Sills, and the team's medical staff. We will take all necessary precautions to ensure the safety of our team, our opponents and our community. "
The Broncos play New England at 11am Mountain Time on Sunday. Last week's game was postponed after the Patriots announced positive COVID-19 tests.
