“We aren’t going to cease till we discover her:” Household, associates proceed seek for lacking Colorado Springs girl
COLORADO SPRINGS — Family and friends of local musician Christine Pierce continue to scour different areas of Colorado Springs and pass out flyers in search of answers.
Pierce has been missing since Friday (Oct. 16.), and her family filed a missing person’s report with the Colorado Springs Police Department on October 20 after she didn’t show up for work then later band practice.
“Friday, we know she went to Marion House, the food bank around lunchtime. We had that verified on video camera, that’s also where we have the last known photo of Christine and what she was wearing that day,” said Brian Krewson. “We have her back at the Albany Apartments by 2 p.m. By 3 p.m., we have her at the Wendys on Wasatch where she used to work. That was her last location,” said Krewson.
He says Pierce is a creature of habit which means she prefers
routine. When he hadn’t heard from her, he knew something was wrong.
“20 minutes after she didn’t show up for me to pick her up, I knew there was something wrong,” said Krewson. “Aside from the four-block radius of the Albany, rehearsals, and performances, she’s not going to walk very far.”
For the last few days, volunteers have been taking to the streets to find any clue to where she might’ve gone. They’ve been canvassing the entire downtown area in hopes of finding her.
Krewson says they’re trying to figure out a more precise timeline to help with search efforts.
“We don’t believe she was slated to go anywhere. Her bank was right down the street, she worked two blocks from where she lived. We are trying to determine where she might have been going so we can determine a walking path,” said Krewson.
The family is raising funds to hire a private investigator to help further the search. So far, they’ve raised nearly $3,000 out of the $10,000 goal to hire one. If she is found, the family says the remaining funds will be donated to the local music community.
